Bill’s Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Activity and sales ramped up in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Manufacturers were active participants, along with a growing number of retailers, wanting to maintain a steady flow of product coming at them. Deliveries for April worked well, along with anything quicker. Eastern mills that had product that could deliver this month drew much attention, selling rather quickly. They were careful not to commit on getting shipments out earlier, maintaining a conservative approach to selling, but leaving the door open to ship sooner if possible. This post will be on hiatus, returning March 14th.
