Sales were lite to start the week in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Demand was good though indicating better activity and more orders to come. With published prices off slightly on many key items last Friday and the mills having a wider variety of products available, buyers did their homework to canvas as many sources and options before making any possible commitments. They were not easily swayed or quick to react to the first things they saw. Mill shipments were very reasonable with several able to deliver next week.
