Demand and activity kept up their momentum in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. The mills stayed busy selling what they had without having to give up in price. Dealers continued having a steady flow of product move through their yards, making them consistently replenish inventory. In short there is a market. One not wanting to let up or give in to undue pressure. Supply is in sync with demand, keeping prices steady. There have been some twists and turns, some ebbs and flows, but a market that is in better shape than most had thought. Optimism is running high for 2024.
