Bill's Corner- Am Eastern Spruce Perspective

It was non-stop activity from start to finish in the lumber market yesterday. Strong demand had buyers out early, sourcing inquiry and covering orders. The mills had product but were limited in scope and quantity. There were several quotes that were left unfulfilled. This frustrated clients, who needed more than what was presented. Prices were on the move all day creating differences among the mills. Buyers had to be attentive and assertive. The lack of truckers also continued to hamper deliveries. For some eastern mills it was faster to ship and deliver by rail than by truck.
