There was more product available from the eastern mills in the lumber market yesterday. Some items sold quickly while others did not. Many of the higher-grade items were still difficult to source as in ten foot lengths and shorter. Market activity was good but not robust. Buyers were not as anxious to purchase as they have been. There was more concern with chasing down late shipments or seeing what could be bought for quicker arrival than advertised. Mill shipments are generally two weeks and later, not sooner. The rate of price increases slowed.
