Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Buyers were nervous and anxious in the lumber market yesterday. Nervous because of signs indicating that prices may have peaked, anxious because they could not find or get the products they needed. Anxiety and frustration were commonplace. Car and truck shipments out of the eastern Canadian mills were difficult at best. The lack of available truckers and getting empty cars was widespread. It made no difference how much wood the mills may have on the ground, they could not get it to the market quick enough to make a difference.
