Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

The volume of transactions was down yesterday as lumber prices continued to erode in the eastern spruce lumber market. Although there were many indications that demand and need were still vibrant, the market lacked the spark and motivation to entice greater participation and activity. The eastern mills were having better success in getting material delivered in the Northeast, but they still encountered many challenges and delays on other lanes, especially into the NYC metro and mid-Atlantic region.
