Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

The standoff between the eastern spruce mills and buyers continued in the lumber market yesterday. There was a little more movement by the eastern mills to lower prices, but not to the extent that buyers wanted or expected. There were some mills more aggressive than others, but the result was the same, few new orders. The mills were still strapped with logistical problems along many routes, handcuffing how they could trade. Late shipments from them were still very common. Quick fill in from the reloads was the mainstay of the orders transacted.
