Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

There was no letup of activity in chasing down late shipping orders or looking for quick delivering lumber from the eastern mills yesterday. The mills have product on the ground but lack the drivers to ship directly to their U.S. customers. Many eastern Canadian mills have had to change how they get these orders to the states. They are now sending more of their orders to a border reload in order to find drivers that can deliver. This change has added a week or more to deliveries which used to take just a couple of days to get done.
