Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Quicker shipping material was the emphasis for buyers and the sustenance for the orders transacted in the eastern spruce market yesterday, although the volume of which were lite. Eastern mills considered discounts on the few items they could, to attract business. Many items remained tight in supply though unless you were willing to wait several weeks to obtain. Much of the activity centered around chasing down late shipping orders. The same frustrating problems persisted with the eastern mills with the lack of cars to load and a minimum pool of drivers to haul.
