Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Sales improved in the lumber market yesterday despite its challenges. Demand intensified for orders on fast delivering material and those for much further out. Quicker shipments from the reloads commanded a hefty price while mid to late April mill shipments saw heavy discounts. It was a tale of two markets, one of need for quick action and the other of patience and the confidence to cover future commitments. The price being the difference for both, with the wild card being logistics and its struggles to improve the flow of product and be more dependable.
