Distributor’s inventories were the driving force behind getting orders in the lumber market yesterday, making it the best sales day of the week for many traders. Reliable and dependable delivery from various reloads helped cover the needs from a growing number of retailers and manufacturers, not wanting to wait much longer on having product coming at them. A recent uptick in business for retailers made stepping in necessary. The trucking woes of eastern Canadian mills continued to hamper them getting new orders, despite gains made on shipping the backlog of late orders.
