Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Eastern mills turned their focus on selling and getting orders to start the new week in the lumber market yesterday. There were mills more aggressive than others with lowering prices. Not all items were as vulnerable. Sales varied from mill to mill dependent on the item and when delivery could be made. Traders and clients struggled to stay informed as revisions were quick to hit the market. It was easy to get distracted and lose concentration. With fewer orders left to ship, the mills were making progress on getting the backlog of late orders out the door.

There are more options from the mills on certain items for quicker delivery but some lanes are still very problematic for them.
