Hectic activity returned to the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Wholesalers covered orders previously taken and more clients made purchases, either out of need or necessity. The increased demand kept the eastern mills busy with a steady flow of orders and making it one of the more productive selling days in quite a while for them. Discounts varied depending on the item. Although the eastern mills are still faced with logistical issues, more of them are delivering in a more reasonable timespan with a better allocation of available equipment and proper planning.
