Steady takeaway had retailers striving to replenish already lean inventories. Distributors, faced with growing voids also opted in, despite extended delivery times to get material. Spiking diesel costs along with other sour economic news fueled the fires of uncertainty, keeping buyer confidence in check, and the potential of buying even more.
