Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

The lumber market tested the patience and fortitude of traders yesterday. There was very good demand, but transactions suffered as dealers watched and waited to buy. Prices were suspect on some items but not so on others. Dealers looked to take advantage of the weakness, pushing, and prodding those willing to take chances. Success came to those that did not join in the bidding wars but rather spent their energy gravitating to items they had and could control, allowing them to sell more confidently. Much time was also consumed with managing and following up on existing orders.
