Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

A general malaise swept over the lumber market yesterday. Sour economic news distracted traders from the current activity to thinking about the future and what may happen. Procrastination and uncertainty set in. Buyers retreated to their safe places to wait things out. There was business to be had but it was challenging convincing clients to buy. Prices faltered as the eastern mills looked to see what it would take to garner orders, providing you could wait to get what they had. If it wasn’t price it was ongoing logistical problems that occupied mindsets for many concerns.
