Lower pricing by eastern spruce mills did little to inspire buyers yesterday. Dealers stood pat and continued to fill in with units rather than with truckloads of lumber. Caution and uncertainty ruled mindsets. Speculation was a distant thought. Logistical struggles continue to hamper deliveries causing delays and frustrations. Dealers and distributors are constantly running out of items, pushing, and hoping to get items on order in sooner than later. The Montreal Wood Convention convenes today after a three-year hiatus.
