There was more activity and improved sales in the lumber market yesterday. Dealers, unable to wait any longer, stepped in to cover needs. With few reload options, they turned to the mills and worked with the best delivery options available to them on the certain items they wanted. Anticipation of the long holiday weekend also motivated buyers, despite the negative tone of the market. Enthusiasm was high along with the attendance during the first day at the Montreal Wood Convention.
