Activity improved in the lumber market yesterday. Traders were optimistic seeing the needs and demands of their clients yet battled negativity and hesitancy to turn over orders. Buyers fed into the pessimism, trying to buy volume at substantial discounts to current prices, having varied success. The dilemma for most was overcoming the logistical problems of getting product shipped and then delivered. The mills have an ample supply of products to choose from and with prices substantially off from their recent highs, opportunities abound with proper planning.
