It was a robust day of activity in the lumber market yesterday. There were many interested parties wanting to secure material for as far out as possible. Confidence ran high that prices had bottomed but there were mixed thoughts as to where prices were going from here. Late comers to the market pushed to find items at last week’s prices but found no interest from the mills or other sources. Eastern mils were willing to compromise on some slower moving items but not so on others. Buyers found many no quotes from the mills especially on items that were quite available just last week.
