The eastern sawmills had enough offerings to enable solid activity and increased transactions in the lumber market yesterday. It was a worthwhile day for many traders. Mill offerings were constantly evolving making it important for buyers to be vigilant and stay top of mind, especially on the high in-demand items. For several eastern Canadian mills there was limited product availability with very few days left in which they can deliver prior to their annual two-week summer shutdowns starting July 22nd. There is still good supply elsewhere, but proper planning and patience are warranted in order to get.
