Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Activity was robust with steady demand over a wide geographic area in the lumber market yesterday. Buyers scrambled to find product that could ship in a reasonable timeframe. The priority for clients was getting delivery on what was owed to them. Offerings from the eastern Canadian mills were sparse with shipments primarily for August delivery. The eastern U.S. mills had more items available with quicker delivery but also had their own limitations. The eastern mills have sold steadily over the last couple of weeks enabling them to build a base on which to sell from.
