Increased interest among clients to bolster inventories and to cover upcoming commitments made for another busy day in the lumber market yesterday. A combination of fairly stable and consistent prices along with a wide variety of available products from the mills enabled longer term planning. Granted many of those items were not for quick shipment but they could be bought with the allowance of time. Some eastern mills had selective accumulations to peddle, affording opportunities that also added to the day’s increased volume of orders.
