Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Busy retailers and manufacturers continued to feed the eastern mills with orders in the lumber market yesterday. The volume of orders continued to bolster their order files and support market prices. There were fewer mill choices and available product from them for clients to rely on by day’s end. Local reloads remained quite active filling in just in time needs by dealers and other items the mills could not fulfill, especially for the near term. Many eastern Canadian mills concentrated on selling what they had for when they return in mid-August from their holiday shutdowns.
