Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Sales slowed on Friday after a moderately active week in the eastern spruce lumber market. Clients preferred to keep their inventories in check going into the weekend. There was more of a wait and see attitude that pervaded mindsets, uncertain of what new sales there would be for them in the upcoming weeks. Prices were relatively flat with minor increases seen on some items. There were also no notable mill accumulations to put pressure on them as well. Shipments continued to be key on getting orders as clients gravitated to product that could deliver within two weeks.
