Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Last Friday was like the rest of the week in the eastern spruce lumber market. It was a steady grind with consistent business for the mills and the reloads from many different sectors, all weighing in and buying some lumber. Prices were stable as well as there was a good balance between supply and demand that kept the market on an even keel. Dealer inventories continued to stay in check, staying in step with the flow of business they were seeing. For the most part the eastern mills had a good variety of products available with most able to ship and deliver for early September.
