Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

The eastern spruce mills had a good supply of items to offer in the lumber market yesterday. Prices were consistent among them, with all anxious to get orders in the books on what they did have. There was varied interest, but most clients perused the availabilities and waited for opportunities to develop. Wholesale quotes were aggressive, all vying to get any potential order. Demand was strong but the volume of transactions was low for the day. Traders remained optimistic that a round of buying was near that would energize and bring stability to the market.
