Yesterday’s action in the eastern spruce lumber market was slow to start, but activity perked up as the day progressed. The eastern mills were more willing participants, working with the firm offers given them and taking the business that made sense. All in all, the day ended on a positive note for many as new orders surpassed the previous days’ tallies. Clients also had more open interest to putting things together. They were more comfortable with the lower prices in the market and buying the items they could use or needed.
