Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

There was improved activity and sales in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Although the action was slow to start, steady demand combined with proactive selling by traders resulted in a better sales day. Much of the business was distributor and wholesale driven as the eastern mills mostly watched and assessed. Even though dealers echoed they had enough product now, there was plenty of solid reasoning to convince clients that the market was affording opportunities to solidify their inventories. Comparatively lower prices were one of those main reasons.
