Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

The eastern spruce lumber market continued to be on stable ground yesterday despite outside economic influences wanting to corral activity and sales. The consistent flow of product through yards and a philosophy of keeping low inventories, had dealers coming back to the market often to replenish, spurring good activity. In effect this helped give ballast to the market and support current prices on many of the often-traded items such as studs and random products. It made for another solid day of orders for the mills and distributors.
