Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective!

Activity was on the lighter side in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday as the Canadians celebrated their Thanksgiving holiday. Distributors and wholesalers were the aggressive sellers, one with inventory behind them and the other tempting clients with low prices. Orders for quick fill in were the mainstay for much of the business although there were opportunities and considerations for longer term purchases. The mills were less aggressive, mirroring published prices to start the new week, but it did little to inspire buyers let alone sales, at least for the moment.
