It was an active day in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Preparations for the long upcoming Thanksgiving holiday weekend had concerns making sure of their inventories, what they needed and what they had on order. The eastern mills did not have as vast an array of products that they had last week making it somewhat of a challenge for buyers. Orders garnered by the mills supported current prices with little other movement in them otherwise. Shipments were the key to many transactions, either being quick to deliver or scheduled out in the future.
