It was more of a struggle to trade and get orders in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. The mills stood their ground on many quotes while clients hesitated and deferred purchases for another day. Problems with logistics and late shipping orders added to the frustration. Buyers were also weary of making purchases that once bought could be worth less once delivered. Despite the difficulties, the activity in the market was steady and several orders did develop from clients realizing value making it a worthwhile day for those that kept their heads above the fray.
