Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

It was a reasonably good start to the week in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Activity was steady with demand for both reload fill in and January delivery. The mills wanted to sell but not give their wares away. Distributors listened to offers but within reason. There were clients that talked the market down or pitted one trader against another, all to find the one hungry enough that wanted the order. By and large though most were not willing to bet against a market where prices were as low as there are and mill supply questionable.

Thanks for posting @william_giguere

I love your reports as they always seem to perfectly summarize the market; giving a general sense of the markets trend and the relative certainty/risk of that trend changing direction.
