Although sales were slightly less in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday, it was not due to a lack of demand but because there were fewer sources willing to sell at the lower prices in the market. There was a growing list of mills and distributors that had either sold what they wanted or were not willing to continue selling at the numbers clients wanted to pay. There were still opportunities from the mills to offer market priced offerings for January and February deliveries that traders gravitated to that attracted interest and orders.
