Demand was strong again in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday to produce another healthy day of sales for many traders. There has been consistency in the daily tallies this week helping to boost morale and confidence. Clients gravitated to the lower priced offerings they saw in the market feeling that the cheaper numbers would not last. There were also fewer items available to them from the mills. There was a growing resistance from suppliers in lowering prices to take business as selling philosophies were being more heavily scrutinized with a shift in limiting losses.
