Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

With many on vacation for the Holidays it was a lighter day of transactions in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. There was some initial demand from those seeking leftover deals or lower priced offerings in the market. With many mills away, there were few mill offerings to promote. The reloads were the mainstay for much of the business as dependence on quick shipping material was the key to potential orders. With yearend inventories to contend with, many were prone to wait until the mills come back next week before they dive back into the market.
