It was another day like no other day this week in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Demand was steady, product availability was sparse, orders were transacted at market pricing and other orders taken at less than. Those with inventory behind them had the advantage, knowing they had the back up to what they were quoting. Others sought out the few mills and sold what little they could put together with them. It was not a doom and gloom market but one that showed promise and opportunity as consistent demand seen continued to instill confidence for the future.
