The liveliness and momentum seen Tuesday in the eastern spruce lumber market continued to drive sales yesterday. Demand was strong throughout the day with little hesitation from buyers to buy what they needed or wanted. It was also easier justifying purchases with prices sitting at the low end of the spectrum. Product availabilities tighten from the mills while distributors firmed up pricing. There were some price concessions by the mills to move floor stock, especially if equipment was ready to load but by the end of the day those opportunities were pretty much gone.
