Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Orders continued to flow on various items to end last week in the eastern spruce lumber market. Buyers stayed busy searching for product as clients were willing to pay higher prices on the items they wanted or needed. The mills did not have very much left to sell after a very productive week of selling. Many of them stayed within 2 to 3 weeks of selling their projected forecasts, not wanting to commit further out than that. Prices were higher on many items to end the week. There was also growing concern that supply will not be as dominant a factor as it has been.
