Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Sales were good in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Although it seemed that the potential for more orders were stifled. Whether it was higher mill asking prices, the lack of product for sale or a combination of both, transactions were not what they could have been. Demand was very good, and clients were willing to buy. There just was not enough market priced material available for clients to choose from. There was product but prices were on the move. The mills adjusted prices higher more quickly after ongoing sales, knowing they did not have as much product behind them as they have had.
