Once again, the volume of orders improved impressively in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Although there was not as much wood available from the eastern mills, clients were able to dig up enough from distributors and wholesalers to make it a rousing day of orders. With prices moving by double digit increases, what was high yesterday is now cheap today. Buyers worked hard to uncover the different layers of product available to supply the increasing demand ever present in the market. But not all those needs were met, leaving a fair amount of demand to be addressed.
