Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

There was better activity in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Orders were still difficult to come by, but demand perked up on various items resulting in a better sales day overall. Clients were more interested in seeing what was available and if a discount was in the offing. The eastern mills did their best in trying to avoid the sizeable counters being thrown at them, but each had their own situations and pressure points to deal with. Some transactions occurred and some did not. The bottom line was that prices flailed trying to find a market level to trade at.
