Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

It was a busier start to the new week in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Traders found orders a bit more difficult to attain but the eastern mills were actively selling without having to take steep discounts to do so. Distributors were strong contributors, keying on selective items to replenish growing voids in their inventories. Traders seemed more optimistic and buyers more confident that a combination of low field inventories and cheaper prices would inspire some buying. Clients do remain active adding to this mindset of increased activity and business ahead.
