Although it was another quieter end of the week in the eastern spruce lumber market, optimism and confidence ran high among traders for the new month of March. Despite the latest snowstorm in the Northeast the winter has been lite on precipitation with warmer temperatures allowing many of the ongoing jobsites to stay active with few delays. This has kept a steady flow of materials running through dealer’s yards. The effect has been a continual replenishment of product by dealers and distributors to keep inventories manageable, not too heavy yet not too lite.
