Sales continued its solid tract yesterday in the eastern spruce lumber market. Dealers gravitated to the increased activity in the marketplace. Trader confidence was boosted by the strong demand seen by clients over a wide geographic area of the country. Market prices had traction as the mills held their ground, dismissing counters and selling. Supply tightened by day’s end. Mill order files are out to the end of the month with some pushing early May. Buying at today’s numbers for May delivery was a selling tool that resulted in procuring many orders for traders.
