Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

It was back to work and the grind for many traders returning from the Montreal Wood Convention in the spruce lumber market yesterday. There was a fair amount of lumber available from the eastern mills, albeit not from all or at the discounted prices that some were hopeful for. There was continued good demand with several orders that resulted. The mills did get some of the business, but much of the need seen went unfulfilled. There was hesitation to buy, and there were those ready and willing to do so. Buyers were busy seeking the deals and preparing for what was to come.
