There was excellent follow through of activity and orders in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Clients dived in and did some buying, not only for quick fill in from the reloads but on back-to-back orders with the mills as well. The volume of transactions was the best of the week so far. The mills did struggle selling some of their accumulations but had little problem on other items in high demand. With prices having little movement, dealers sought out opportunities to lock in profits with future deliveries at current numbers. Many of them had the confidence in doing so.
