Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

There was solid demand to start the week in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Not all translated into orders, but a fair amount did. Dealers have been busier and needed to react accordingly, quicker that may have been anticipated. There were some discounted items available from the mills but not necessarily the things that drew much attention. What did, were harder to find and less available. There were also indications that shipments from some eastern mills were tightening up. What was one week has become two weeks for wood on the ground. There was a late announcement out west of curtailments at Sinclair.
